Rectangular metal plate is engraved: "Last Type set by President Warren G. Harding July 16, 1923 in office of Fairbanks Alaska News-Miner-Citizen. Presented to The Associated Press April 22, 1924 by W. F. Thompson Member for the Fairbanks Alaska News-Miner-Citizen." There are small holes in each corner of the engraved plate.
